INISHTURK

Daily ferry service from Roonagh, County Mayo, connects Inishturk to the mainland. Similar to Inishbofin, the island hosts gracious bed and breakfast accommodation, self-catering cottages, a Community Centre, a small shop, a medical clinic with a full-time nurse, St Colomba’s Catholic church, a national school, and one of Ireland’s most amazing sports pitches nestled into the surrounding hills.

Our team has conducted archaeological survey, ethnographic research, oral history interviews, and archival analysis of Valuation, census, and parish records on Inishturk since 2014.
